Bowes Manor
Our riding school caters for all abilities from ages 4+. We supply riding hats, body protectors and some footwear. The clothes we suggest your child wears for a lesson is comfortable trousers, a warm jacket, a pair of boots preferably with a small heel and riding gloves. Hot and cold food, beverages and sweets can also be purchased from our fully licensed cafeteria.
Hourly lessons run from Friday to Sunday at the following times:
Friday: 4:30pm
Saturday: 10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00pm, 14:00pm, 15:00pm.
Sunday: 10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00pm, 14:00pm, 15:00pm.
We advise everyone to book in advance.
If you do not book in advance you may not be able to ride due to space availability.
Summer holiday courses
Seven weeks of summer holiday fun starting from week 1. Tuesday 21st July - Friday 24th July, week 2. Tuesday 28th July - Friday 31st July, week 3. Tuesday 4th August - Friday 7th August, week 4. Tuesday 11th August - Friday 14th August, week 5. Tuesday 18th - Friday 21st August, week 6. Tuesday 25th - Friday 28th August, week 7. Tuesday 1st September - Friday 4th September, activities include riding school showjumping competition, tack and turnout, 1 and 2 hour hacks, games and stable management, certificates are also available. - Pony club is available for children who would like to stay for a full day, this includes two hourly lessons and some stable management work. These days run weekly on a Saturday and Sunday and during school holidays. Pony club is discounted based on an hourly rate.
- Riding parties for special occasions e.g. birthdays etc. A function room is available free of charge when booking large groups. Buffets are available on request.
- Gift vouchers are also available for that special occasion, these come in single lessons, pony club days and during the school holiday courses. These can be purchased from our riding school office.
Block bookings are also discounted.
