Welcome to Bowes Manor Equestrian Centre, Northside, Birtley, Co. Durham (Area 12).   Our centre has been in existance for 26 years having started from a 4 1/2 acre field with a few derelict buildings.   The centre has been built from scratch by owner Stephen Gair who has himself competed at the highest level and has found and produced many International horses and ponies including G-Line winner of Grand Prix and Puissance, Genesis winner of the Queens Cup, Tina Cassans (Fletcher), Wildenstein, North American Horse of the Year and in ponies Bowes Springbok National 128cms Champion (3 times), Bowes Jellybean National 128cms Champion both represented Great Britain on numerous occasions, Bowes Charlie Brown winner of many Grand Prix, 148cms ponies include Bowes Gunsmoke Grand Prix and Nations Cup Pony,  Bowes Mr Magic and Bowes Superdeal 2nd in the Foxhunter final at Horse of the Year Show.

The centre has been holding affiliated and unaffiliated shows since 2002 which have proved to be very successful.   We are constantly upgrading our facilities and in the last few years we have extended the outdoor arena to 185m long x 30m wide and resurfaced it with sand and rubber,  we also have a large indoor arena with a rubber surface a grass derby arena and an overflow outdoor sand surfaced collecting ring, We have fully licensed catering facilities, sponsors lounge and bar area, we hold a full range of shows from novice to 1.25m throughout the year.   We also have our own showjumping team some of which can be viewed jumping below:
